Bioimpedance analysis

The seca TRU products measure body composition using bioimpedance analysis. In this method, an imperceptible alternating current is passed through the body and the electrical resistance (impedance) is measured. Muscles conduct the current better, fat worse. The measured resistance can then be used to draw conclusions about the existing tissue in the body.

So that you can be sure that precise values are calculated from the body resistance, we have measured our seca TRU in clinical studies using complex procedures. For muscle mass, for example, the results were compared with whole-body MRI images. The result was that the measurements matched 97%. For you, this means on the one hand that you can determine the muscle mass of exercisers easily and as accurately as with a whole-body MRI, and on the other hand that you always receive precise, reliable and medically usable measurement results.

Measuring success, increasing motivation

The demand for precise and modern methods of training analysis is constantly growing. More and more fitness studios are relying on bioimpedance analysis (BIA) to provide their members with detailed insights into their body composition. The seca TRU revolutionizes this process with scientifically validated measurements and a user-friendly application.

Thanks to the seamless integration into leading studio management systems such as EGYM, Technogym and Milon, the seca TRU can be optimally integrated into existing processes. The intelligent seca analytics 125 software enables automatic data analysis and progress documentation so that members can track their progress at any time – for more motivation and effective training.
